THEY HAVE IT

With a box of bacon and cheese fries in his hands, Auric could hardly contain his excitement. His mouth watered at the scent of melting cheese and sizzling bacon, which floated through the air. The combination of flavours that awaited him was so savoury that he couldn't wait to relish in them.

Auric's excitement mounted as he took a seat at one of the dining hall's tables. Gently, he opened the package to reveal a magnificent sight: golden fries smothered in a thick layer of melted cheese and bacon. He picked up a fry and took a bite, and he instantly felt like he was in heaven. The crispy texture of the fries, combined with the salty, smoky flavour of the bacon and the gooey richness of the melted cheese, created a harmonious symphony in his mouth. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors that left him craving more. He couldn't help but savor every morsel, relishing in the sheer decadence of this indulgent treat as he slouch on the bench in bliss.

"Ya really like this stuff huh ?"
*Jack asked as he sat near him. They both got out of a pretty rough training session, which left them both hurting, and more importantly hungry. His portion, however, was deprived of cheese. Seeing Auric's offended look, he just answered :*
"I just don't like cheese, ok ?"

"Did the cheese give you emotional trauma?" Auric asks, jokingly

"Yeah, with their taste. I do not understand how you can eat that and not barf, it's literally fermented milk. Disgusting."
*Jack looked at his underclassman's meal with a critical eye while eating his own, non fermented milk-covered fries.

"I mean, sure, but still, this is amazing! Gotta try the mozzarella sticks next." Auric reminded himself as he shoves a handful of fries in his mouth.

"But hey, you do you, and I respect that, just don't shove it down people's throat."

Auric almost chokes on his fries after Jack asked that question, but he manages to regain his composure and replies with a nervous laugh.

"Ummm, , well, it's a bit complicated to explain. I'll tell you later."

"Oh... Shame. Me first then. If you wanna know, of course. But I have to warn you, it's not very interesting."
*Jack started to eat his fries too, but much slower.*

"Not interesting, as in, basic level story, or not interesting as in, 'Yeah, I basically stop a terrorist organization all by myself, no biggie.'" Auric jokes

"You give me too much credit."
*He giggled.*
"No, really, my sister wanted to be a Huntress, kind of as a fuck to society, show that Faunus can be heroes too, and I was kinda scared to let her risk her life by herself, so I went with her."

"..Wow, I just have two things to say. A, that's actually very nice of you, you're a good man."

Auric took up a fry and bites into it.

"And B, you were right, I've heard more interesting from NPCs in my video games."

*He raised a specific finger.*
"That's usually the point where people goes 'Oh, your sister is a faunus ? Are you one too ?' "

He just laughs it off as he ate a couple more fries

"Oh, thank you, you're right."

Auric clears his throat.

Wait, if your sister's a faunus, are you one too?" He asks in a sarcastic tone.

"Wow, that's what everybody asks me !"
*He laughed.*
"No. My father is a faunus, but my mother a human. I had a fifty-fifty chance, so I was born a human and my twin sister a faunus. We don't share the same family name because humans and faunus weren't allowed to marry when we were born."

So that's why Uncle Paul was a faunus, damn, I need to ask my parents about this in the weekend.

"That's cool...," Auric replied, "Hold on, you said you have a team? Where are they?"

"Interesting.."

Being bored, Auric had a mischievous idea. Taking up a fry, he used Weave to create a sort of slingshot between his left thumb and finger, aiming the fry at a student a couple of benches away and then firing it.

"You think? The only reason I get through that class is that the teacher's hot as hell." Auric admits

"Tragic...wait, your sister's gay?" He inquired.

So Jack, Grise, Rick and Jack's sister as a team, interesting

"I see..." Auric replies, grabbing more fries and devouring them.

"And how does that make you feel?"

"I can drink to that" Auric chuckles, finishing his fries and now stealing Jack's fries

"Speaking of, apparently, I'm supposed to get someone in beacon as a partner due to a programme, and all I know is that she's a faunus."

"Hey !"
*He would slap his new friend's hand away.*
"Oh, really ? Maybe this is the start of a new team. You don't even have her name ?"

"..The programme was developed for people who were...not the best students for teachers... we're the only two who fits that category. And also, no, I don't know her name." He cleared his throat.

"Where? At the back of a factory machine making toys for an old guy? And, don't worry about me, I'll be fine...I think."

Auric leans back, starting to beatbox silently
