In the world of fashion and clothing design, Vert never had formal education in the field. She was not allowed to even touch sewing supplies under her parents' supervision as it was deemed unnecessary to the development of Hardlight research. That did not stop Vert from going behind their backs and practicing the skills necessary on her own accord, even going so far as to utilize her extensive knowledge of the different varieties of Dust to stitch them into any of the outfits she makes. She certainly had an eye for detail and the memory to be able to copy styles quite thoroughly when the topic turned to cosplaying figures from comics or shows.
In terms of fashion magazines themselves, Vert did have access to a few big names from Atlesian industries such as Se'Quinn Splendors. When it came to branching out to the Vale region, however, Vert's search was much more limited due to only knowing the immediate area. In her case within the year she had moved, she had only found a business that sold outdated issues of the fashion magazines. That being said, Vert did find an interesting one which she had turned to on at least two occasions, with the cover in question detailing a fashion competition won by a Dust-infused dress.
On this particular day, Vert had simply been walking about the gardens of Beacon Academy as any other day would have gone. People went about their business with no mind paid to them, yet one person did seem to catch the cosplayer's eye. Vert may not have been known by any reputation, outside of passing rumor of a passing nuisance or a lazy student, yet this individual was clearly known to Vert, even with the Beacon uniform. Others may have taken to the idea of walking up to a "celebrity" with some degree of reservation, yet Vert had no such issue walking up to the female in question, in her straight posture, and speaking.
"You're the cover girl of Ambiguous INC. Fashion from around two years ago, correct? The girl in the Dust-infused dress." Well, maybe a slight bit of hesitation would have been a good thing.
