It's Raining Cats and Dogs! (Open)

It was a perfect day at Vale's esteemed Academy. The sky was dotted with few clouds, the sun hung high in the sky, and a gentle breeze wafted through the gardens, keeping the temperature pleasant. Many of the Academy's inhabitants had ventured outdoors, preferring the elements to the stuffy halls and corridors. Indeed, it wasn't actually raining cats and dogs; well, not figuratively. Because, while the beautiful weather had driven people outside, it wasn't the sole reason for luring folks en masse to the Gardens.

It was "Pups and Paws Day," and the festivities were in full swing, filling the grassy expanse around the school with smiles. Adorable furry friends of all shapes and sizes were housed in various enclosures throughout the Gardens, spreading joy to those adventurous enough to enter and to onlookers who admired from a distance. Laughter filled the air as playful puppies jumped onto willing participants, while kittens blessed lucky souls with their charming companionship. One particularly fluffy feline had taken its place atop a delighted faunus's head, claiming its rightful throne. Though some handlers were present to maintain order, they, too, were having as much fun as the participants, chatting and smiling at the adorable antics of the animals.

Nova, overwhelmed by the multitude of options, found herself immediately drawn to a curious kitten poking its nose through the fence panels of one enclosure. She sat cross-legged on the ground, a silly grin on her face as the kitten playfully nudged her finger with its tiny nose. "Aw, you love boops, don't you?" With the kitten gently nuzzling her finger, Nova reached out to scratch its little forehead, eliciting a blissful purr in response.
