Backstory
Nata was born in a quiet fishing village located toward the eastern coast of Anima. But when she was a kid, her family moved to Vale for a brighter future. Her dad was an honest dock worker, always busy with work and exhausted when he got home. Her mother was a teacher at an elementary school, the same school she attended. Because of this, the kids at school often teased Nata for being a "teacher's pet". Most of the time, the white Faunus played it off as though it was nothing, but deep down Nata hated it, and that hate would brew more and more each passing time, until one day when her patient cracked… and so did the nose of the unfortunate kid that’s made fun of her that day. Her transgression against the kids that had been calling her names continued, despite time after time getting herself in trouble for it. If she couldn’t get to the kids during school time, the beatdown would happen after school. Eventually, she built herself a nickname: White Tiger.

That name continued to strike fear into the students of her schools when she grew older. No one dared making any remarks or even spoken up about her when she’s around, and Nata practically had free range of the school to do whatever she felt like. Even teachers and faculties wouldn’t dare to speak up, less they get their office trash, belongings destroyed and no one would dare point a finger.

Her reputation even got out into the street when a group of delinquents tried to coerce her to join their gang. Nata instead spit at their shoes as a reply, and although they tried to teach her a lesson about respect, Nata proved herself to be quite a formidable opponent. No amount of beating could truly bring her down. With each time they tried, the white cat Faunus would simply crawl back up and jump back into the brawl. If she got knocked out during the scuffle, then the next day she would be the one instigating, laying the hammer down on each individual before they could even react. Eventually, these delinquents found where Nata lived and threatened her family. They broke into the house and trashed everything. Seeing her mother losing sleep over stress, her father failing at work because he couldn’t get enough rest, Nata was pissed. Jumping and beating her was one thing, this one crossed the line.

One night, sneaking out with a large metal bat that her family had bought for home defense after the incident, the White Tiger went to the hideout where she knew these delinquents love to hang around and confront the entire group. There was fire burning in her eyes, and that night, a brutal one sided war erupted. Something had awoken in Nata. That night, she had never felt so empowered before. Each blow she struck against these bullies felt like thunder as each hit sent bodies flying until there was no one else standing but her alone.

Words of the fight spreaded around, all talking about a white Tiger Faunus who fought so fiercely she drove an entire gang out of their territory and now ran the place. Nata found it rather amusing, feeling somewhat vindicated that her reputation grew so large, until the White Tiger herself had to face the wrath of an angry mother. The chew out she faced rivals that of her beatdown on the delinquent gang. For the first time, Nata had to admit that there is an authoritative figure scary enough to make her submit.

The next few years were rather uneventful. Despite suffering the legendary scolding of her lifetime, Nata never left her home without the steel bat. She heard that a new group had moved in to replace the one she’d beaten up so badly. This one however, learned the lesson and left Nata alone, lest they face the Tiger’s wrath. Mom and Dad had practically given up on scolding her about her delinquency behaviors. However, on her 18th birthday, Nata was surprised with a special letter. Her mother had been signing her up to prestigious hunter Academies all across Remnants, and she had been accepted to Beacon. At first, there were worries about how Nata would receive the news, but her parents were elated to see such a positive response from their hard headed daughter.

The following weeks, her parents began preparing for her sendoffs. Dad took a few days off to take Nata shopping, picking out a few nice sets of clothes for Nata to wear. Mom had a custom made weapon fitted to Nata’s liking, and with a bit of personal touch, Nata took a spraying can to make the weapon really fit with her personality. Once everything was set, the cat Faunus said her final goodbyes and headed off. For once, she’s excited for more challenges ahead.

How many times had she been at this? Face down on the ground, beaten and battered, twitching, barely conscious, vision blurred, eyes glazed, lids lazily half open, white hair half dyed in red. She struggled to draw a breath, each one was painful and shallow. The pain coursed through her entire body in waves, each movement only prolonged the pain more and more. The metal bat she wielded was completely stained in blood. The White Tiger had finally been put down, or so it would seem. She put up one hell of a fight, though. All around her, her adversaries didn’t fare any much better. Many laid motionless on the ground, many laid writhing. The few that are still standing clutched at their arms, legs, ribs, head,... Dogs limping back to their dens to lick their wounds.

Supposedly, another rowdy bunch of good-for-nothing delinquents had been running amuck near where her family live, quite particularly, around the small school that Nata’s mom works in. The streets had gotten quite dangerous for the little kids, adding more stress for both parents and teachers alike. The teachers had already tried to contact law enforcement about the issue, but given the part of town, the police weren’t willing to delegate more than one or two officers to tour around the block every so often. Once the gang had learned the police patrol pattern, law enforcers themselves wouldn’t be of any help either. Well, if the cops themselves can’t handle a few delinquents, then it’s time to go back to some good ol’ street justice.

It started small. A few surprise beatings every now and then. The small groups wouldn’t stand that much of a chance against a huntress… well, a huntress-in-training. Nata would usually skip some of the more boring classes that she wouldn’t pay that much attention to anyway -better to spend the time elsewhere, being more useful than a bored sack of meat in class, and walk around the block. Wearing her casual attire, packing light with only her weapon on her back, the White Tiger was back on the street, prowling around for a fight.

The first few beatdowns were rather simple. A group of four or six would come running in hungry for a fight, and each group was dragged through the grinder. Broken bones, chipped teeth, swollen eyes,... all left purposefully to send a message that The White Tiger is back, more pissed than ever, and she’s not playing around anymore. In retaliation, the gang seems to bring more and more members to terrorize the small neighborhood, almost starting a gang war against a single individual. Nata must give them the credit. These idiot gangs were much bigger than she had anticipated. She had only expected to sweep the street with a bunch of criminal wanna-be, but it seemed that she had really stirred the hornet nest.

And just like how it started before, the morons targeted family.

Nata’s father was jumped outside of his apartment one late night coming back from his work. They sent a pretty clear message back to Nata that they knew about her past, and wouldn’t hesitate to take the coward’s way to get her off their back or to force her to give up on her crusade. That was a cardinal sin, and the White Tiger wasn’t going to take that laying down. She was going to dismantle this entire group if that was the last thing she did. Finding their hideout wasn’t that difficult. All it took was a few persuasive questions and someone being held on the other end of a baseball bat that was as heavy as a sledgehammer. Tucked away in some sewer line was an underground space big enough to house the entire gang, each and everyone of the crazy, stupid sons of ------- all corraled into one enclosed place, far away enough that no one is going to come for their aid in time. Fully armed in her combat gear, this time, Nata wasn’t there for any kind of normal beating; She was on a warpath.

A few dozen rabid dogs going against one single Tiger; it would have been an outright unfair fight if it weren’t for the fact that a few of the dogs got their hands on a few high caliber rifles; their equalizers. Those bullets punched quite hard, enough that it pushed the Tiger Faunus off her balance and on her back. Each time Nata took a bullet head on, her aura flashed brightly, she persisted through the firepower and continued fighting, bearing her white fangs while slamming her bat against the unfortunate few that didn’t run away in time and got sent flying to the otherside of the room. Though, eventually, through sheer volume of fire and bodies, they managed to break through the Aura barrier. Nata took a few nasty shots throughout her body, and after they ran dry, all there was left of the gang began piling onto the defenseless Tiger and started repaying her for all the troubles she had given them. In the end it seemed as if the rest of the criminal dogs had successfully put down the raging tiger.

The Tiger’s ears flicked. The tiny motion caught the attention of one of the gang members sitting against the wall, hand clutching against the right half of his face. The lifeless body began to stir slightly, shifted and curled to a ball, before agonizingly getting back on all four. Now, she’s attracting more attention, many staring in disbelief of what they were seeing, jaws dropped in terror. The amount of beating they dished out, no normal people… no, no huntress would even be able to get back up from, let alone some rookies like her. But they weren’t hallucinating. She was getting back up. She’s not done.

Blood was dripping from Nata’s face and hair, adding to the pool collecting on the ground where she laid. The metal bat was tightly gripped in hand; fighting against the slipperiness of the handle wetted in blood, used as a pivot to push herself back on her feet. Her breathing quickened through gritted teeth, face contorted in pain. Finally, she lifted her face to look back at her terrified opponents, her blue eyes almost gleaming in the gloominess that fell over the battle. Pulled herself straight up, through heavy, labored breaths, the Tiger spat blood onto the ground beside her, blood covered almost half her face. “I’m not done with you yet.” A low growl let out. Nata pulled her bat up with both hands and lunged forward.

Nata didn’t bother dodging under the first man that swung back at her, instead raising a hand to block the metal pipe flying toward her face instead. The weapon slammed against her with a loud thud, and Nata swung back in return, twisting her body with the blow aimed at the man’s rib cage. As he crumbled, a knee to the face put him out cold. Barely getting time to recover, the Tiger caught a full swing to the back of her head with a wooden beam, almost knocking her off her feet. Yet, she managed to catch herself, tucking in with the fall to roll back on her feet. The brutal retaliation took the man off the ground when she twisted her body around and swung the bat toward her assailant. She could see the arm bent awkwardly as he desperately tried blocking the attack aimed for his face.

Pumped up with fire in her eyes, the pain began fading once again -not through her semblance but by sheer adrenaline. Her momentum increased more and more the longer she fought, and what’s left of the gang began falling one after the other. Their numbers advantage was almost meaningless as their attacks felt like nothing against the berserking Tiger. One assailant managed to stab Nata with his dagger, but not even the twist of the cold blade was able to slow the girl down. Instead, she turned and grabbed him by the hair and sent him head first into a metal crate, followed up by embedding the same knife deep into his hand, pinning him against the wall.

At the end of it all, the lone Tiger stood tall, blood dripping from her wounds, bodies scattered all around her. Each breath she took felt heavy. The metal bat hung loosely around her fingers. She felt as if she was going to throw up, but in the end, Nata managed to persevere, standing strong until the very end. All there’s left now is to figure out which way lead back home.
