Physical Description:

Fair-skinned and well-built, Ethan's upper chest, arms, back, and legs are covered in intricate tattoos in various shades of purple. His lavender locks, which he wears loose, come to his shoulders, kept out of his eyes by a leather headband and sports glasses.
He sports a stylish goatee which he'll sometimes shave off and regrow on or around significant milestones or anniversaries.

Outfit Description:

Ethan wears fingerless leather gloves, a leather tabard over short denim shorts, and simple corded sandals. He carries a grappling hook on a length of sturdy rope and generally keeps his weapon slung across his back.

He does own a suit in varying shades of purple for formal occasions, but would prefer to skip the event entirely rather than actually put it on.

Personality Description:

Ethan is a work hard, play hard kind of guy. His unshakable belief in the necessity of equality of opportunity makes him fight injustice wherever he sees it just as much as it makes him exhort those around him to put their best effort into everything they do.

Backstory Highlights:

Ethan was born into The Restitution, and as such doesn't view any two people as his "parents" - rather, he treats the adult members of the Vacuo regiment as his aunts and uncles and the orphans the organization cares for as his siblings.

Seeing the work that The Restitution did for the underprivileged, Ethan dedicated a portion of his time to the movement when he turned ten. Most of his first assignments were inventory and delivery.

On one of his courier assignments, he and his escort came under attack by a Death Stalker. As they ran, Ethan's childlike understanding of the power of the organization made him certain that someone high up in the organization would arrive to rescue them. When this belief came true with the arrival of the Founder herself, Ethan's reverence for her and the organization she built was raised to new levels.

After the Grimm was slain, Ethan asked his savior if he could learn how to fight so he could protect people like she did. After helping him build his own weapon, she sent him to Oscuro with the promise that if he worked hard, he would succeed.

After graduating, he learned that the Founder was currently in Vale, so he transferred to the Restitution branch in the City of Vale and applied to Beacon.

Semblance Name:

Moment to Moment

Semblance Description:

Ethan's Semblance passively accumulates Moments of time in direct proportion to his heart rate, one point per beat. This accumulation stops while the Semblance is active.

When activated, his Semblance drops a temporal anchor. Maintaining this anchor does not cost Aura.

Ethan may spend his temporal energy alongside a litle Aura to trigger certain effects:

- he may freeze the outside world, allowing him to seemingly move outside the normal flow of time, at a cost of 10 Moments per heartbeat spent in this state. He may maintain this state only for five heartbeats at a time, and only once every ten minutes; this limit may decrease with practice.
- he may rewind his physical state to that of an earlier point in time, at the cost of of 100 Moments per heartbeat of rewound time.

If Ethan would be slain while his Semblance is active, the rewind effect is triggered automatically and will rewind as far as it can regardless of how little time would need to be rewound to negate his injuries - this will completely drain his Aura provided he has enough Moments.

Weapon Name:

Kotev Cherev

Weapon Description:

A short pole with a scimitar on each end, Kotev Cherev can be separated into a pair of scimitars (Tzafon and Darom) at need. There is Gravity Dust embedded in the handle allowing the entire weapon to be thrown as a boomerang or one blade to be thrown and then recalled. Darom will always be pulled toward Tzafon when this function is used, so depending on which blade is thrown, it can be used as either a returning weapon or a movement aid.

Each blade also has a slot to fit a Dust cartridge to allow the blade to be imbued with an elemental effect.

Other Gear:

Ethan carries a pouch containing various Dust cartridges to slot into his weapon as well as a few first aid supplies.

Fighting Style:

Ethan is a pure skirmisher, dashing in and out of close range to deliver swift attacks before getting clear. His expertise in short bursts of melee is matched by his need to get clear long enough to buy a few heartbeats for his Semblance to use as fuel.

While he lacks long-range options, his weapon affords him solid mid-range attack options which enable him to stand clear of melee.
