Physical Description:
If his choice of clothing showed his lack of wealth, then Castor's physical characteristics revealed the kind of lifestyle the young Faunus had. Despite his average stature, Castor physique is rather abnormal and much defined compared expected someone his age, though the numerous scars and bruises scatted about his tan body clearly show the consequences of his training. His short hair lacks any resembles to any actual style and more something akin to a bushel of grass glued together. Castor mostly keeps it in such a way out of boredom, intentionally having it block a portion of his face. Aside from the unintentional benefit of hiding his Faunus eyes, only ever sweeping his hair back when he's taking a fight seriously.

Unlike your typical Faunus who's traits tend to be a tad more obvious from a glance, such as cat ears or monkey tails. Castor's eyes who thin slit-like pupil reveal his nature as a snake, and despite's its vibrant shade of red Castor himself is unable to see in color. Simply seeing the world in a monotone mixture of light and dark, though such a foreign concept like color doesn't seem to bother him in the least. His eyes do however have a very sharp sense of detail, so much so that Castor can not only see in low light conditions but have his vision be unhindered while underwater, and still easily pick up details in the environment. One may think that given his outer appearance that Castor would be some sort of wild child, who goes about picking fights with anything and anyone around him.

While there is some truth to that...there is much more that goes on with his mind than one might expect.
Outfit Description:
A simple glance can you easily that Castor is not exactly one who follows fashion trends, after all the wear and tear his clothes have gone through it would be easy to confuse him with a bum. His...maybe black mostly frayed jacket is probably older than he is, Castor also tends to wear it over his shoulders with only a gold chain keeping it in place. Underneath that is an equally worn-out whitish undershirt. For leggings he sports a dark pair of jeans which may or may not nibbled on by tiny beowolves near the bottom...his shoes while being a mixture of black and white are in similar disrepair so much so that the bottom of them is completely smooth from overuse.

Aside from that, the only other clothing he has is the Beacon academy uniform. Which oddly enough Castor considers it to be something of a "monkey suit" with how much he dislikes.
Personality Description:
If it wasn’t already obvious Castor is rather eccentric, granted the role of a huntsman tends to attract such people. Unlike his mentors such as Set surviving out in the wild with brutal efficiency, or Heru who plays politician more so than a huntress. Castor prefers to play things by ear, allowing his ridiculous hedonistic impulses to dictate his actions most of the time. Castor saw no value in the black and white views of morality as most people did, seeing all methods of succeeding in life were equal. Granted he wasn't the type to actively do something reckless like breaking the law with abaondon, instead he would at least consider it an one of many options at his disposal.

That being said his own personal preference leaned towards more destructive means, after all, this usually ended up with starting fights..and usually end rather brutally if Castor goes into them seriously. When it comes to more subtle means of getting what he wants Castor more often than not fails spectacularly, and tends to hate playing minds games with a passion...along with word puzzles, math. One could call him stupid and not be too far off the mark, though it would be more apt to call him simple as he does own a rather sharp mind. Being able to adjust to situations quickly and think even faster on his feet. Despite being so thick-headed and stubborn at times, Castor is very social and outgoing with people.

In his bizarre way finding some kind of common ground with people was rather easy at times thanks to his blunt and honest nature, plus his carefree attitude with life makes him someone easy to approach once you know him past any first impressions.
Backstory Highlights:
Looking at Castor anyone would have pegged as another violent thug from the Mystral underworld at worst and at best they would thing he was violent scavenger from the Vaccuo, however the fact is much stranger. To put it simply no one, not even Castor, knows where he is truly from. The earliest memories he was finding himself half buried alive in a sandy red dessert. He would have been another corpse in that sea of dust if his semblance awakened and proceeded to guide him through the dangers around him. Eventually Castor would succumb to the heat but by a stroke of luck he was found by a lone huntsman and brought back to civilization. When he came to, Castor found himself in a strange bandit camp, many of the people around him wore stylized masks after creatures of Grimm. AT first Castor would keep his distance from these strangers, and they in turn did the same as he was unwilling to answer any of these questions. Though not like he was able to answer them to begin with, eventually this troubled amnesia ridden child received the attention of the bandit “leader.” An elder woman by the name of Juno, Castor could easily spot by the wolf ears and tail that the person was a faunus just like him. After talking with the old woman Castor felt more comfortable with opening to her about his dilemma, after brief consideration she offered a chance for the young boy a place with her people, if nothing else for the time being.
She did warn her though that such a spot must be earned by sweet, tears and blood if necessary. Castor quickly accepted her offer. At that point Castor officially joined the Hortus bandit tribe. Over the next few years Juno and the rest of the tribe kept their word, making sure Castor earned his place with them going through their harsh training to best make use of him. Along with the physical training they also provided him with an education. He was not by himself of course as the tribe had numerous other children around his age also going through the same process, they called “agoge a term borrowed from the tribe’s earlier history. Castor rarely paid attention to them when they went off about the tribe’s supposed “history.” His only concern whenever he was not performing his duties as a member of the tribe was to search for clues to his origins. Of course, over time they would cause a rift between him and the others in the tribe who he had become close with.

Many of them felt he was placing his needs over the tribe’s safety making several trips in and out of the so-called civilized world of the four kingdoms on remnant.
During one such trip Castor came across a strange merchant who bought an even stranger medallion with a most bizarre name on it, he did not recognize the name in any of the history books and scrolls the tribe kept. It wasn’t much of a lead, but the name Marbas was the closest thing to a lead he had in literal years. Over time Castor recklessness would put the tribe in more danger but he didn’t care, in his mind the tribe was over cautious of the kingdoms and their huntsman. After all, many in the tribe were proficient in aur use just as he was. If push came to shove, he was confident in their ability to win a fight against them. Of course, the rest of the tribe did not feel the same way, a full-frontal fight with any of the kingdoms was suicide to many of them and Castor’s recklessness was quickly becoming a liability to them. In turn many in the tribe soon plotted for Castor to be banished, one Juno grew over time increasingly willing to abide by. Eventually it would reach a boiling point where a lone huntsman tailed Castor on one of his trips and found their camp. The lone huntsman in question was quickly delt with but the issue raised concerns ranging from Castor’s ignorance and Juno’s preferential treatment she had given him over time.

Forced with no other option Castor was banished from the tribe, as Castor went to pack his things filled with shame, rage, and guilt for having caused all of this. He believed this would be best to have the freedom to go where he wanted or more accurately needed to properly search more into the Marbas medallion. Before he could leave his tent though a loud commotion interrupted his train of thought and then his vision went black before he could react. For the next few moments Castor could not hear anything all he could do was his mind slipping into an endless void, which was until he heard a strange unfamiliar voice speak to him in a language he did not recognize. Eventually his mind came back, and Castor found the strength to get back on his feet. The rest of the tribe, however, was not so lucky as the camp had been smothered in a strange black miasma of sorts. The same miasma that only recently had tried to consume him as well. AT first, he was unaware why it had not, but he realized the cause as his strange medallion began beating with a soft glow keeping it at bay. It did not take long for Castor to discover however the countless bodies of his now former tribe buried beneath the miasma waves all their corpses being horribly mangled by something around them as if the air around them had teeth like bewolves and ripped into them. Castor in vain tried to find survivors but to no avail. They were all dead, but in the distance, he could see a figure leaving the camp and unaffected by the miasma covered in dark tattered clothes of sorts. Castor could not see any detail clothing wise or any features in the person, save for a glint of silver light coming from them. The person looked like Grimm reaper and less like a person. Being unable to chase them Castor instead opted to use his semblance to burn the rest of the bodies and the remainder of the camp to grow. Last thing he could do was ensure them proper burial and promise them revenge on the bastard who did this.
Occupation:
Student (former bandit)
Education:
Castor lacks a traditional formal education but was taught many academic and practical skills from his time as part of the Hortus tribe. From reading, writing, and mathematics, among other skills expected of a person his age. To skills that would prove a more realistic use from living outside such as tracking, survival. When it comes to skills that involve less killing Grimm and more trying to be a decent human, he was taught the arts, music and how to dance though Castor refuses to share that one last particular skill due to his embarrassing lack of skill in it.
Semblance Name:
Chaotic Psyche
Semblance Description:
Castor semblance would seem like any other summoning based ability, granted the creature it births in question is much more terrifying in nature than most Grimm, with his white semitransparent bone like body, Castor summons looks more akin to a ghost rather than a “living” creature. Despite its fearsome appearance resembling that of a large skeletal snake, Fidi as Castor affectionately nicknamed is not some wild beast he lets loose like a hunting dog, neither is she a guardian that stalwartly defends her master.

Instead, she acts as an extension of his will, another weapon in his arsenal. Fidi in most cases fights in tandem with Castor, either using its unique abilities to attack Castor’s foes or to protect her master from harm. Its main is to use its large body to attack and defend physically, with a body length of a little under fifteen feet, it has quite the range to spare easily being able to swat away multiple opponents with its tail or crush them with its fangs, and despite its appearance Fidi can act in ways uncommon for a “snake” such as float and fly in the air, though despite her length she relies more on momentum and speed with “swim” her way through. Castor can even “ride” her into battle as ridiculous as that sounds though the added weight will affect her accordingly.

She also can attack in a way uncommon for a “snake” such as with her tail, back or even the sharp ends of her rib cage. Every part of her is a weapon if commanded by her master, in fact in crazy situations Castor has even had Fidi flung him across the battlefield if it put in an advantageous position. In simple terms, despite looking like the skeleton of an animal she is more of a puppet acting as an extension of Castor’s will. Meaning if he is unable to focus or is knocked out then she in turn will suffer in performance and in the worst-case scenario will have the summoning undone all together. When it comes to foes from an even greater range Fidi can attack from a range with dust it has been fed to by its master. Unlike other dust manipulating semblances Fidi can only use the mysterious substance in a simple but destructive manner, usually in a raw stream of dust something Castor has adopted the name “dust breath” for whenever Fidi does so or by imbuing its body in the substance to function as both battering ram and armor.

Fidi can eat not only naturally formed dust but as well as the by product of said dust such as the electricity from Castor’s weapons or even from the rounds out of a gun if she has direct contact with the substance that is. It does not make her immune to the dust, the impact of the dust still affects her and with enough impact or force can cause her to shatter just like an aura construct. But Castor can easily mend her wounds by channeling aura into her or burning through any dust that is available. The amount of dust Fidi can use is equivalent to how much she has consumed, in worst case scenario she can use her own aura that maintains her form or use Castor as a battery. The snake summon can use any stored dust or use Castor’s aura to increase its size, strength, and durability the almost double it usually size, but its speed becomes significantly slower in this form and to maintain this form it needs a constant supply of aura or dust to maintain it.
Weapon Name:
Molon labe
Weapon Description:
Castor’s chosen form of martial arts is rather ancient, even compared to those who practice more traditional styles. Pankration roughly translates to “all of power” unlike other styles pankration lacks much in flashy techniques or overly complicated stances. Instead opting to focus on simple and efficient maneuvers that easily be changed from one to the other in quick succession. Having its practitioner be in theory be skilled in all forms of combat from striking, to grapples originally used by athletes such as boxer and wrestlers to even the use of weapons was added later once pankration became more widely known as a style of combat used by gladiators. Its “stance” is also more flexible to emphasize this by having the person’s form be slightly forward and slanted in something between a boxer and wrestler. With one foot resting in the back and the leading foot being on its toes to allow for quick reaction. The person’s arms also allow for flexibility being held around shoulder length and facing forward to quick and powerful punches or more range for grapples.

Its straightforward nature allows for even a novice to learn understand the fundamentals but a true master of pankration in theory be able to match blows with boxer, grapples his way out any wrestling hold and force his way out of any nasty situation. Pankration demands his practitioner forgers their body into the necessary weapon to handle all combat situations.

Which is odd given that Castor very much lacks the overbearing stature or muscle mass typically associated with pankration users. He is by no means a slouch but compared to the mountains of muscle most pankration legends were his slenderer and nimbler frame looks like a twig in the breeze, but Castor is already aware of this flaw and a way to work around it. Not only did he know how to best make use of his natural abilities but his specific mindset in his belief elevates the art of pankration to new unseen heights. Those being aura, dirty fighting, taking advantage of opportune moments and a little bit of bs luck has allowed Castor to make his form of pankration all his own. With aura and more importantly his semblance Castor can easily make up for the shortcomings when it comes to his lack of finesse and technique with coordinated and enhanced airs strikes from him and Fidia. Dirty fighting speaks for itself, originally Pankration forbade certain actions such as low blows, biting, eyes gouges and the sort. But when the form of combat became popular in the fight rings, many of which were populated by slaves turned gladiators, those rules were conveniently “forgotten” by many. As such, Castor has no qualms pulling all dirty tricks from trash talking to his foe to even potentially disabling them with a shot to the eye or genitals. All that mattered was he got what he wanted. Whether it be the win of a fight or simply the thrill of violence, Castor adopted much of the showmanship associated with Pankration fights, often or intentionally leaving gaps in his defense for a more “fun” fight.

Or at least it would seem, after all Castor may be a fool but he had learned enough when to focus on the task at hand…his body is proof of that. As such Castor has developed a tendency to “study” his foe as a fight persists writing mental notes of tendencies, actions, and potential flaws to exploit. As such Castor goes out of his way to dictate the flow of the fight if he can never let his opponent comfortable for a moment. If they wanted a fight he would back off and tire them out or force them onto the floor for a grapple. If they wanted to grapple, he would move himself out of there range and fight with fidi from a distance. And if they tried hailing him with bullets or aura, Castor’s familiar could consume to aura and fire it back against them or he would weave around the flying lead and get in their personal space. Lastly is Castor’s sometimes ridiculous luck when it comes to making the most of bad situations, more than once in his time with the Hortus tribe and now as a student of Beacon has, he prevailed due to people underestimating him and him willing to make risky gambles most sane people would bail out of. Of course, they don’t always work, in fact as mentioned before the numerous scars covering his body like a canvas of failed art is proof, he still has much to learn.
Other Gear:
Usually carries a bag with handful of dust crystals.
Fighting Style:
Unlike most martial artists, Castor’s combat style like his weapon is much older compared to most of their counterparts. In the case of his fighting style, Castor uses an old-school combination of boxing and wrestling. His usual train of thought switching between both to suit his needs. This is further emphasized with his stance, which shares aspects between boxing and wrestling, a leaning frontal stance, open relaxed hands pointed forward like a wrestler, the boxing aspects come from the slight turn his stance has, to allow quick reach for his punches.

The arms are also held much higher than a wrestler with the main arm is fully extended forward and the rear arm is held back. The positioning of the feet also plays an important matter in how Castor fights, with most of the weight behind the rear foot for stability and powerful kicks, while the front leg is used more for quick, farther kicks and equally fast leg defense.

All these aspects together create a strong foundation for Castor’s skills as a fighter, his preference for fundamentals over flashy techniques means he tends to be more deliberate with his moves. Such as throwing jabs to pick his foe apart piece by piece at range like an out boxer, or his numerous skills with grapples, locks, and holds similar to traditional wrestling.

Most of the speed in his fighting comes with his reaction timing, making a last-second dodge or reversal to clinch victory from certain death is far more enjoyable than it has any right to be in his mind. This illusion of reckless confidence portrays the image of a man who dances with death and danger, oddly befitting a huntsman.
Strengths:
Castor’s unique upbringing allows him certain benefits expected from someone his age. The combination of his semblance and fighting style make a potent combo for most fights. Be it one foe or multiple Castor rarely had trouble handling them unless caught off guard.

The reason being is that due to his fighting style being a much older one the chances of people being aware of it are small compared to most martial arts, along with his semblance whether it a fistfight or contest of grapples Castor dictates the flow of a fight and quickly adapt to expected situations. High pain tolerance was also a reward as part of his training, after all a good portion of said training involved hunting grimm.

But not everything about Castor is all business, on the contrary, he much rather enjoys the moments where he doesn’t have to risk his life, judging from the silliness he could provide to any party it’s honestly hard to ever see Castor as someone who would willingly involve himself in more morally dubious activities. Even more so doing such things on a whim, as if the concept of right and wrong are foreign as colors to him. Of course, such dangerous tendencies are double-edged swords and come with their own weaknesses.
Weaknesses:
While Castor’s many skills may help in a pinch, he has equally as many faults that impede his progress and more importantly can be exploited by opponents. His fighting style while effective and simple is also quite old is mostly built around extensive use of fundamentals. When against those who are more skilled or who use more unorthodox styles of combat Castor tends to struggle against them.

Another weakness is the limited ranged options Castor has, while his semblance is useful in combat, his only real ranged option costs comes from Fidi firing off dust from a distance...which brings us to the elephant in the room which is Fidi. While quite usfull and down right instrumental to Castor's surivvial at times also costs an abundant amount of aura to maintain. Meaning if for some reason his summon is undone or flat out destoryed, theres goes a good chunk of Castor's aura reserves.
